BEHAVIORAL SLEEP MEDICINE

Dr. Garcia does not prescribe medication, and it’s not required to make progress in treatment. If you’re on medication for sleep, talk to Dr. Garcia about your preferences.

  • Tapering off sleep medications (Dr. Garcia must have a release to work with your prescriber)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (6-8 sessions)

  • Brief Behavioral Treatment for Insomnia (2 sessions)

  • Bright light therapy with melatonin and schedule changes

  • Imagery Rehearsal Therapy for nightmares (1-3 sessions)

  • Exposure, Relaxation, and Rescripting Therapy for nightmares

  • CBT for Hypersomnia

  • Desensitization for PAP adherence

  • Work- and travel-related schedule changes and skill-building

  • Transdiagnostic Intervention for Sleep and Circadian Dysfunction (modular with 8 core and 7 optional sessions)

These interventions are not one-size-fits-all.
